The Clark County Parkdale Community Center project consists of a new 11,907 s.f. recreational building which includes a multipurpose/classroom, office space, half-gymnasium, exercise rooms, game room, storage rooms, and restrooms. Features include daylight harvesting techniques using glazing strategically placed (lowering power consumption), an Energy Management System, vertical sectional doors inside and out, translucent glazing around fitness area, and bringing the outside environment in and the inside environment out for a seamless flow for flexibility for park functions. The flat roof is structurally designed for future photovoltaic panels over a white “cool roof” that is highly insulated. The new addition is safe, flexible, functional, maintainable, respectful to the environment and responsive to the evolving needs of Parkdale Community in East Las Vegas.
